How to Measure Your Kitchen Before Modular Kitchen Design
A simple guide to taking useful measurements, so you can get a more accurate first estimate.
You do not need to be an expert to take useful measurements. A few careful numbers will help us give a better first estimate. Our team will still verify everything on site.
You will need a measuring tape, a notebook, and your phone for photos. Use one unit throughout, such as millimetres or feet and inches.
Measure the length of each wall, from corner to corner. Then measure the height from the floor to the ceiling, since this decides how tall the wall units can be.
Note the positions and sizes of doors and windows, measured from the nearest corner. Mark the sink, the gas point, electrical points, and the chimney duct or exhaust outlet.
Look for beams, columns, and pipes that stick out. These affect where cabinets can go.
Do not assume the room is square. Measure both ends of each wall, because small differences can matter.
Draw a rough sketch, label every number, and take photos of each wall. Send them to us and we will take it from there.
The key to a truly premium kitchen lies in the details. Every joint, every finish, every handle is an opportunity to elevate the ordinary into the extraordinary. This philosophy guides every decision we make at Chennai Modular Kitchen.
When you choose a custom modular kitchen, you are not just buying cabinets. You are investing in a space that will serve your family for decades. That is why we never compromise on materials, hardware, or craftsmanship.
