The platform is where you work every day. Here are ideas for height, layout, and finish.

In Indian homes, the kitchen platform, or countertop, takes the most wear. It is worth planning carefully.

Height matters for comfort. Platforms are commonly built around 850 to 900 millimetres, but the best height suits the person who cooks most often.

Keep clear counter space on both sides of the hob, and avoid placing the sink and hob right next to each other. A gap between them gives you room to work and reduces splashes.

An L-shaped or U-shaped platform gives more work area. A breakfast platform or a small extension can double as a place to sit and eat.

For surfaces, granite, quartz, and marble each have their own strengths in durability, upkeep, and cost, so choose based on how heavily you cook.

A backsplash in an easy-to-clean material protects the wall from oil and water. Add task lighting beneath the wall units for a well-lit work area.

We can review your space and suggest a platform layout that fits how you cook.

The key to a truly premium kitchen lies in the details. Every joint, every finish, every handle is an opportunity to elevate the ordinary into the extraordinary. This philosophy guides every decision we make at Chennai Modular Kitchen.

When you choose a custom modular kitchen, you are not just buying cabinets. You are investing in a space that will serve your family for decades. That is why we never compromise on materials, hardware, or craftsmanship.
