First, ask what area is being measured. Some quotes measure the floor area, and others measure the running length of the cabinets, or the front face of the units. These are not the same.

Second, check what the rate covers. Does it include the carcass and shutters only, or also the countertop, hardware, accessories, chimney, hob, and installation? A lower rate with many exclusions can end up costing more.

Third, compare specifications, not just numbers. Carcass material, shutter finish, hinge and drawer brand, and warranty terms should be written down in every quotation you compare.
